LMBT partnered with the County to increase farmland preservation funding. To date 3,896 acres of prime farmland have been preserved – more than any other municipality in Northampton County. Saving fertile farmland has been and will continue to be a high priority as an effective tool to keep LMBT’s farm economy viable. Preserved farms provide our community with numerous ecological benefits, save our scenic views, and help keep local taxes in check since farms and open space lands require fewer public services.
