Why is Susan on the Democratic Ballot?

Susan is a Republican. Although two Supervisor seats are open, John Mauser is the only registered Democrat seeking election to the Lower Mount Bethel Township Board of Supervisors in 2019. In the May primary election, a significant number of Democrats voted for Susan by write-in, which is why she is listed on the Democrat side of the ballot. Susan understands that as a member of the Board of Supervisors she represents ALL residents of Lower Mount Bethel, regardless of political affiliation. Effective leadership requires a willingness to consider all perspectives and opinions on every issue in order to make the best decisions. The combined Republican and Democrat votes Susan received in the primary election demonstrate that her priority is, and has always been, to act in the best interest of LMBT not a political party. Residents belonging to all political parties recognize the positive impact and value of Susan’s contributions to the Township.
